How long does a flooring installation take?
Most single rooms take one to two days. A full ground floor usually runs three to five days including removal and subfloor preparation, and we confirm the schedule in writing before starting.
Do you remove and dispose of the old flooring?
Yes. Removal, haul away and disposal of the existing flooring are included in the quote, and we protect the rest of the home from dust while the work is underway.
Does the subfloor really need preparation?
Almost always. Levelling, patching and moisture testing are what stop tile from cracking and planks from lifting later. Skipping preparation is the single most common cause of premature flooring failure.
Can you install flooring over existing tile?
Sometimes, depending on the height, condition and the material going down. We assess it on site and tell you honestly whether an overlay is sound or whether removal is the better long term choice.
Will there be a lot of dust?
Tile removal does create dust, so we seal off work areas, protect adjoining rooms and clean thoroughly at the end of each day to keep the rest of the house usable.
